February… the month of love! And at Colonnades it’s not only about Valentine’s Day, this month we’re also celebrating the wonderful Scottish produce from our amazing local suppliers.

Love Afternoon Tea

Located just off the Capital’s historic Royal Mile, Colonnades is known as ‘Edinburgh’s finest afternoon tea’.  When you step through the doors you’ll see immediately why.  The handwoven carpets, mirrored tables and bespoke silverware all add to the feeling of opulence.  The difference with Colonnades is that it’s grandeur that screams to be enjoyed.  The staff put you at ease and make you feel as if you are the only people there.  You are encouraged to take your time, enjoy the company you are with, the unlimited tea on offer and, of course, your afternoon tea..!

You can start your experience with the newly launched Rose Smoked Tea  from The Wee Tea Company, grown in Scotland by The Wee Tea Plantation. Expect the deep, malty and biscuity flavours of the Black Tea, married with the sweet floral hint of rose to fill your pallet and be surprised by a delicate Scottish oak smoke.

Following an amuse bouche, tickle your taste buds with the first tea stand of savoury delights which includes beetroot, goat’s cheese and sesame meringue, beef wellington pie, confit duck l’orange and more!

After you’ve enjoyed your savoury bites of heaven, you’ll be wowed with the dessert stand of pink themed delights. Red velvet & passion fruit cake, blueberry and violet éclair, rhubarb & custard tart and our signature ‘Love’ macaroon and Caramelia. See full menu here.
