About Colonnades

Nestled in the heart of the Royal Mile, Colonnades is housed in the beautifully restored 19th-century Lower Library. This iconic building features tall fluted Corinthian columns and ornate balustrades in a neo-classical style, offering visitors a glimpse into Edinburgh’s rich history. *Please note that on certain Saturdays, the tearoom may be closed for private weddings. Bookings are accepted only three months in advance.

*Colonnades will be closed from September 9-13 for private use. Thank you for your understanding.

*This summer, we will also be open on additional days: July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th, as well as August 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th.

Gift Vouchers

A gift voucher is a fabulous present at any time of year. Choose from afternoon tea with champagne or fizz or traditional afternoon tea. For the perfect gift Colonnades can offer a choice of vouchers which can be purchased online. All vouchers will be mailed to the recipient.
