The fabulous Pommery Champagne Café Bar is back again celebrating the Edinburgh Festival. For three weeks only you can enter the beautiful Signet Library – one of Edinburgh’s finest buildings - and enjoy grown up drinks including superb champagne and a delicious menu.

Situated just off the Royal Mile, the Signet Library is perfectly located next to St Giles Cathedral at the heart of the Old Town. Normally only open for exclusive hire events, this is a truly unique opportunity to not only glimpse inside one of Edinburgh’s architectural gems but also have a fabulous night out!

Relax with some seriously good coffee and a freshly-baked slice of cake or light-as-a-feather scone - the ultimate energy food before you head out into the madness which is Edinburgh in August. Share a scrumptious platter of deli-style bites with a bottle of Pommery, and indulge in our champagne afternoon tea for two – a real show-stopper and our runaway success last year.

At night the Pommery Champagne Café Bar is transformed with stunning lighting into an inviting and seductive space. Elegant and atmospheric, it’s an experience not to be missed, just like the star attraction of our menu this year: whole lobster with home-made wedges, which we think is just about the best combination ever.

Fringe Champagne Tasting Tutorials

Fringe Champagne Tasting Tutorials will take place on Tuesday 14th August at 3pm and Wednesday 15th August at 11.30am. This will be a unique experience for champagne lovers and novices alike - A tutored champagne tasting in the stunning surroundings of The Signet Library. Consistently top quality, Pommery is renowned for its variety and innovation afforded by nine different crus, setting it apart from other Grandes Marques. Presented by the UK Ambassador of Pommery, Sara Hicks, you will be guided through the unique four seasonal Pommery champagnes, before enjoying a Whole Roast Lobster & Wedges with a glass of Pommery Brut Royal in our Café Bar.
